Tourist area on the northeast coast of Mallorca
Can Picafort or also known as Ca'n Picafort, is a tourist area belonging to the municipality of Santa Margalida and is located in Acudia Bay, south of Playa de Muro. Can Picafort beach
Can Picafort Beach is located to the south of the well-known Muro Beach. Yes, it is true that it is a very busy beach that is one kilometers long and about 30 meters wide on average. It is the ideal beach to enjoy a day with the family since it is located in the heart of the Alcudia Bay and therefore has all the necessary services and is close to many areas of interest in the place.
S 'Albufera Nature Reserve
The ideal place to enjoy some of the most beautiful and unique landscapes in Mallorca. S’Albufera nature reserve is known worldwide by bird watchers for the great variety of species that reside there. It consists of marshes and swamps with a large number of species of birds and other animals compatible with the local environment.
Can Picafort Beach, as we have mentioned before, is a very busy beach due to its proximity to the different towns on the coast. Therefore, we recommend that you visit Playa de Muro, north of Can Picafort. A beach about 6 kilometers long, divided into four sections with different characteristics. Its size allows it to accommodate more people being much more spacious and quiet to enjoy a day at the beach with family and / or friends.
Son Serra de Marina
Another of the towns par excellence on the north coast of Mallorca and which also belongs to the municipality of Santa Margalida. Son Serra de Marina is located south of Can Picafort, just 9.5 kilometers away. It is one of the coasts most visited by lovers of strong emotions and aquatic activities such as surfing, windsurfing or those that require movement in the sea.
Necropolis of Son Real
The Necrópolis of Son Real is right by the sea, about 2 km southeast of Can Picafort. It is a natural environment formed by dunes with about 1000 square meters of the cemetery in which around 130 tombs and more than 400 burials have been documented. Without a doubt, the Son Real Necropolis is a must for lovers of history and culture.
